I took a look at your vector, and that's a pretty good start. The outlines are consistent, which is a good thing, but the strokes aren't tapered, and there are a lot of overlapping issues. What software did you use ? Could you provide the source file so I can take a closer look at your vector ? I used inkscape, and ... please tell me a way how to send the source to you( has been a bit updated since then)?
Alright so here are the things I noticed :
-You're using path for the eyes (pupil, iris, eye reflections), you should use the elliptical tool instead -You closed some of your stroke (like the ear and the head), but you shouldn't. Simply do as you did for the horn : press enter once you're finished instead of closing the stroke. -I noticed some width differencies with the outlines. The width should be the same for all of the outter (stroke mane, tail, body, clothes, etc) and the inner strokes should be 1/2 or 2/3 times that width. -Some of the stroke needs to be tapered (hear, horn, head). Here is a quick tut on the subject : [link] -There is a miter issue on the white stroke of the dress. To fix this simply select the stroke, and set the miter limit to 10 in the stroke and fill window. There are a few more things, but they're details. I would like see if you can fix all of the mentionned issues first, because they are part of your technique that you need to improve. Btw was this a trace or an original vector ? Because it's pretty good. it is an original vector, I will try to fix these ... but for the ear for example, the third line, it makes me easier to use it like this, because I can curve it if I ever need that and then cover with another shape the useless part, else if it is not closed it will be a straight line which cannot be curved, that is why I am doing the ear in this way. As for the other things, I will try to repair them. Also this was one of my first works, I have better vectors on my gallery if you want to see them. Also, thank you for your advises.
